Step 1: Become a developer
Open Settings → My Fire TV → About. Highlight the device name and press Select seven times. A message confirms you are a developer, and Developer Options now appears one menu up.
Step 2: Install Downloader
Use the search icon on the home screen, type Downloader, and install the orange app published by AFTVnews. Open it once and allow file access when asked.
Step 3: Let Downloader install apps
Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options → Install Unknown Apps and turn Downloader on. Older Fire OS versions call this setting Apps from Unknown Sources.
Step 4: Install your player
In Downloader, enter the official download address of the player you chose (support can send you the current link). When the file finishes, select Install, then Delete to remove the installer and free space.
Step 5: Log in with Xtream Codes
Open the player and choose the Xtream Codes option. Enter any profile name, then the username, password and server URL from your welcome email exactly as written, including http:// and the port number.
Step 6: Pin the app
Back on the home screen, open Your Apps & Channels, highlight the player, press the menu (☰) button and choose Move. Put it in the first row so it is one click away.
What if it doesn't work on Amazon Firestick?
